Flux

Flux is a free twin-stick wave shooter that runs inside ServiceNow. Move with WASD or the arrow keys, aim and fire with the mouse, and hold the line against wave after wave of enemies in a small bounded arena.

How it plays

Chasers rush straight at you, drifters wander and split into two weaker drifters when killed, and turrets hold position and lead their shots at where you are heading. Every wave is bigger and faster than the last, and a boss arrives every fourth wave with a visible health bar and a pattern you can learn: a rotating ring of shots, then a telegraphed charge. Kills sometimes drop a pickup - spread, pierce or a short overdrive - and a dash on a cooldown gets you out of trouble. Stay unhit and your score multiplier climbs; any hit resets it. Three lives, then the run ends.

Keyboard, mouse and touch are all first-class: hold I, J, K or L to aim and fire without a mouse, or drag to move and tap to fire on a tablet.

The look follows your theme

With a NowForge Gamer Pack theme chosen in Preferences > Theme, the arena and every enemy take that genre's palette: a wireframe grid with Vector, neon rain with Neon District, pixel colours with High Score, embers with Emberkeep. With any other theme it uses its own dark arena. Anyone whose device asks for reduced motion gets no screen shake and fewer particles, and the game plays the same.

The leaderboard

Every game that lasts more than three seconds posts its score. The leaderboard shows each player's best, by name, to everyone who can play. The server checks each score against how long the game ran and refuses one that could not have happened, and it keeps only each player's best few results. An administrator can clear the board.

Install

Two files, imported in order: the application, then its update set. It needs no configuration, no credentials and no outside connection. One role, x_nf_flux.user, lets a person play.
