Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how NowForge (“NowForge”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use nowforge.studio. We aim to collect only what we need to run the marketplace.

1. Information we collect

• Account data — name, email, hashed password, and role (buyer/seller/admin).
• Transaction data — purchases, order history, and, for sellers, payout details you provide. Card numbers are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store full card data.
• Content — listings, files, screenshots, reviews, and custom-build requests you submit.
• Usage & device data — pages viewed, approximate location, browser type, and cookies (see below), collected via our analytics providers.
• Download records — for each download of a purchased plugin we record the order, the version, the time, your IP address and browser user-agent. We use these to deliver your purchase, to enforce the license terms, and to detect account sharing or abuse.

2. How we use it

• to operate accounts, process orders, and deliver downloads;
• to identify licensed copies: update sets you download in XML form are watermarked with your name, email address and order reference, so a copy that is redistributed can be traced back to the account that obtained it;
• to calculate commissions and seller payouts;
• to provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and secure the service;
• to improve the marketplace and, where permitted, send service or marketing emails (you can opt out).

3. Cookies & analytics

We use a strictly-necessary cookie to keep you signed in. With your consent where required, we use Google Analytics to understand traffic and, if enabled, Google AdSense to display ads. These providers may set their own cookies and process data under their policies. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

4. Service providers we share with

• Stripe — payment processing and tax calculation.
• Vercel — application hosting and content delivery.
• Neon — database hosting.
• Google — analytics and (optional) advertising.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with providers who help us operate the service, or when required by law.

5. Sellers and buyers

When you buy from a third-party seller, we share the limited information needed to fulfill and support the order. Sellers must handle any buyer information in line with this Policy and applicable law.

6. Data retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at our message center. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access-controlled downloads, and least-privilege access to systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International users

We operate from the United States; using the service means your information may be processed there and in other countries where our providers operate.

10. Children

The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
